REGISTRATION was open November 15th - December 20, 2017.
Your will need to register your projects for both the local and state Technology Competitions (links at the bottom of the page). Both registrations ask for the same information (see below). Please note, the registration form asks for a t-shirt size. This is for the State Technology Competition. All regional first place winners will receive a t-shirt when they compete in the State Technology Competition.

Only members of the Department of Instructional Technology and identified sponsors at each school have access to register projects for the district Technology Competition.
STEP 1: Register for APS Tech Competition. STEP 2: Register for the GASTC (state competion). Each project entry should be registered as separate registrations. Team partners must be registered together in a project entry. Teams with members in different grades must compete in the grade band of the oldest student. The grade bands are 3-4 | 5-6 | 7-8 | 9-10 | 11-12. Each school is limited to a maximum of 2 projects per Grade Band and Category. Each school is also allowed 2 Technology Literacy Challenge entries per grade band. Note that once 2 projects have been registered for a category/grade band (for example 3-4 Mobile Apps), no additional projects will be able to be registered for the school in the category/grade band.

The deadline to register for the district and state Technology Competition is Wednesday, December 20, 2017. This deadline is to allow time for the tech fair staff to arrange for judges, set the judging schedule, and other preparations needed to make the Tech Fair run smoothly. Late entries cannot be accepted because changes after the registration process has begun would require us to start all over again.

Grade level divisions are as follows:
Only first place winners will advance to the state competition (http://www.gastc.org). First place regional winners will receive a “Winner’s Letter” during the award ceremony with instructions that must be followed to go the state competition. The State Fair will be held on March 10, 2018 in Macon, GA at the Middle Georgia State College and University (formerly Macon State College and University) this year. |
